Long Beach Restaurant and Tavern History
Middle River, with it's rich heritage to the Chesapeake Bay, has a long history of community family spirit. The area has known presidents coming to hunt on the farms in Bowley's Quarters, families coming in "from the city" to spend summers at the "shore", and a whole community coming together to survive and rebuild from a hurricane called Isabelle. This area needed another restaurant where families could go for good food at a reasonable price. Neighbors and friends were looking for a place where they could go after a long day at work and kick back and have some fun while listening to some music and getting a bite to eat. While this restaurant has had many different owners and names, Bob and Marion, the new owners of Long Beach, are residents of Bowleys Quarters and have a vested interest and commitment in the success of this Restaurant and community. We are looking forward to building long lasting relationships with our customers, our friends.
